SPECIALIST SEATING ASSESSMENT APPOINTMENTS WITH HEALTHCARE MATTERS:
What do the current Covid-19 restrictions mean for you and can you still have an appointment?
Although Covid-19 restrictions are an ever-changing scenario, your loved one’s circumstances are still the same and support is needed! Perhaps this has left you wondering if you can even have an assessment during these difficult and uncertain times?
Yes, you can have an appointment!
The short answer is YES. Healthcare Matters are ready and able to assist you and are keen to remind you of the ways we are working to provide a safe seating assessment for your patient or loved one during this incredibly uncertain time.
As well as adhering to all of the safety measures implemented by you or your organisation, we would invite you to see below the reminder of the steps that our Seating Specialists take in advance of and during your visit.
HOW OUR SEATING SPECIALISTS DISINFECT THEIR ENVIRONMENT AND MATERIALS
Disinfecting Materials:
Any material that will be used during a Healthcare Matters seating assessment will be disinfected with appropriate materials including any chairs or accessories that will be used or that our team will come into contact with. In fact, we’re so aware of the importance of proper sanitisation techniques and processes that we launched a new sister company, Salinise that provides alcohol-free hand gel, surface disinfectants and dry fogging machines.
Appropriate PPE:
We make sure that our Seating Specialists are equipped with appropriate PPE that will be worn at all times during their visit. This is for their protection and of course, yours and your loved ones.
Maintain Social Distancing:
Our Seating Specialists will maintain social distancing, where possible, throughout the assessment for your protection and peace of mind.
Trial Chair:
If necessary we will leave a chair for your loved one to trial, allowing for the chair to be tested in a comfortable and familiar environment.
Collect & Disinfect:
At the end of the trial you can be assured that all appropriate safety steps will be adhered to for the follow-up appointment to collect the chair. Once more, in appropriate PPE we will visit to collect the chair from your premises and we will then start the process of disinfecting the chair once it has been removed. We’ve been experts in decontamination for over a decade and will take pride in ensuring that all steps are followed.
WHAT IF AN ‘IN PERSON’ ASSESSMENT CANNOT BE ARRANGED?
We can offer seating assessments and various other appointments remotely.
During the various stages of Covid-19 lock down’s and restrictions, we have managed to successfully host remote seating assessments and appointments through the use of live video calls.
